Preservation

I take preservation very seriously. My main areas of preservation are music, books, and web based content such as videos or websites. My main focus is books, not just to preserve them forever, but also because I believe reading is fundamental to humans. The news of Gen Alpha and the loss of reading comprehension is what pushed me to start making my book scans freely available.

I can't host all my book scans here, as they take up a lot of space. However, you can read them all freely on the Internet Archive and Open Library, linked below.

INTERNET ARCHIVE

In addition, I will host various texts and occasionally others' writing on here that I can't host on the Internet Archive for various reasons.

Scanning a book can take a lot of time, usually a couple hours for an average sized book. Large books can take several days to scan. If you'd like to support me with my scanning efforts, please consider donating to my Ko-fi!

I scan using a HP Scanjet G3110 and edit PDFs using ilovepdf.com.

As of April, I have begun to preserve my books on sources other than just the Internet Archive. I will be mirroring them to Anna's Archive. I'm doing this because while the Internet Archive might be the best known online resource, that also means it is the most under attack. If my books are removed from there, then they will be preserved on Anna's Archive. In addition, I keep a digital copy of every book I scan, so I can send them directly to people if wanted.

So far, I have made £461.50 worth of books free to read!
